Terms of Service

Effective date: August 3, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of eMadrasah (the “Service”), the learning platform operated by Al Fajr (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account, signing in (including via Google), or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

The Service is provided to students, parents or guardians, teachers, and administrators affiliated with Al Fajr. You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract with us and only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the Service.

2. Accounts and sign-in

  • You may create an account with an email and password, or sign in with your Google account. When you use Google sign-in, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email address) as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. Accounts are personal; do not share them or let others sign in as you.
  • Roles and permissions (student, teacher, administrator) are assigned within the Service. You may only access features and data your role permits.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • upload or share content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate for an educational setting;
  • attempt to access accounts, data, or areas of the Service you are not authorized to access, or to bypass security or assessment controls (including quiz proctoring, attempt limits, or grading safeguards);
  • engage in academic dishonesty, including cheating on assessments or misrepresenting authorship of submitted work;
  • probe, scan, disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service, or use automated means to scrape or extract data except through features we provide for that purpose;
  • upload malware or attempt to interfere with other users’ use of the Service.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit — assignments, messages, forum posts, and similar materials (“User Content”). You grant Al Fajr a non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and process your User Content solely to operate and provide the Service (for example, delivering a submission to your teacher for grading). Teachers and administrators may view, grade, and manage User Content within their courses as part of normal educational use.

You are responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the rights necessary to share it and that it does not infringe the rights of others.

5. Our content and intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and Al Fajr course materials, is owned by Al Fajr or its licensors and is protected by law. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, we reserve all rights. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service or its materials except as permitted for your own educational use within Al Fajr.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. By using the Service, you acknowledge that information will be handled as described there.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers — including Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage), Google (sign-in), Cloudflare (bot protection), and an email delivery provider. Your use of those features may also be subject to the providers’ own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Al Fajr and its staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if required to protect the Service or other users, or if your affiliation with Al Fajr ends. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be directed to Al Fajr through your usual administrative contact at the institution.
